***Let Us Know if You Plan to Come***

We’ve hired It’s Haul Good, a junk removal company to help our neighbors do their spring cleaning. Clear out rooms, garages, etc. and bring it to the school to be hauled away.

***For seniors who might have difficulty bringing items to the school, we ask that they reach out to us directly so we can arrange a pick up to help them out.***

It’s Haul Good: Community Event Guidelines for Junk Removal & Shredding

Junk & Donations

- Junk or donations accepted include any household items or very small furniture/appliances.

- Quantity accepted per individual can not exceed one car’s trunk space - worth of items.

- Cannot accept large furniture items (see FAQ below), household chemicals or paints, or building materials.

- First come, first serve basis, so the earlier you can arrive the better! When the truck is filled, unfortunately we will not be able to accept any more junk or donations.

- Attendees of this event can schedule a crew to come pick up larger items or volume at a later date for 10% off our normal rates! Ask an “It’s Haul Good” team member how!

Shredding Guidelines (Secure Containers, Shredded Off-Site)

- Quantity limited to one legal/bankers box per person

- No hard drives or CD’s accepted

- No Certificate of Destruction provided on-site

FAQ

What is large vs very small furniture? Can you give examples?

- Small acceptable items are comparable in size to furniture such as a nightstand, a standard dining room chair, or coffee table.

- Dressers, washer/dryers, loveseats, sofa chairs, couches, dining room tables, mattresses, cribs, changing tables, and similar sized items are UNACCEPTABLE at this event. However, they may be scheduled at a later time to be picked up by our team for a fee.

How much can I bring?

- As a rule of thumb, the maximum amount we can accept from any one individual is about the quantity that would fit in one standard sedan trunk. We want to make sure everyone can reap the benefits of this event!

What about clothes?

- Absolutely, we can take clothes since we will be heading to a donation center anyways!

Can you give examples of building materials?

- We can not accept any heavy building materials or construction waste, such as concrete, cinder blocks, yard pavers, bricks, or wooden 2x4’s with nails in them.

What if I have more junk, donations, or shredding that I need removed?

- We’ll come to you! As a member of this community, we are extending a 10% discount on any scheduled service you make within 7 days of this event. Just call our office at 703-646-9194 and let us know you’re a part of the community, and we’ll apply the discount once your work is complete.

Can you take electronics & old TV’s?

- Yes, we can take old electronics, old televisions, and other electronics. However, we will not be offering data destruction for this event, so any hard drives or stored data (tablets, desktop cpu’s, cell phones) will not be wiped & therefore could be compromised.
